Design Process
Customer Brief
Mr and Mrs Humphreys were undertaking an extensive renovation of their home. The kitchen space was three separate rooms which were then opened up into one, much more functional, living space and the area was generally a blank canvas in terms of design layout.
The customers very much wanted to include a farmhouse mantle feature and an island with seating. Mr and Mrs Humphreys were also looking for a more traditional style of kitchen which would be in keeping with their older property.
The Design
The design began with placing the mantle in the best place to suit the layout of the room. Once this decision had been made it was then important to site the island to accommodate the required seating. The positioning of the sink was then added to the floorplan and following this the remainder of the design fell into place.
The final design included furniture from the Mackintosh Manor House range with anthracite furniture and accent wall units in limestone. Contrasting light quartz worksurfaces were installed along with a number of NEFF appliances. Mr and Mrs Humphries also chose a white ceramic Belfast sink and a Quooker Flex Pro 3 tap.
