Customer Brief

Customer Kitchen Brief – Bespoke Kitchen Design in Wigan

Our clients approached Mark Johnson Kitchens in search of a truly unique, custom-designed kitchen that would stand out from the ordinary. They were looking for a bespoke two-tone kitchen with a strong design-led point of difference, tailored to both aesthetics and lifestyle.

Key requirements included:

  • Striking Two-Tone Kitchen Design – A custom palette to create visual interest and distinction within the open-plan layout.

  • Tall Appliance Housing & Hidden Features – A full-height bank of cabinetry was required to seamlessly integrate appliances, cleverly conceal a boiler, and incorporate a hidden butler’s pantry for additional storage.

  • Sociable Kitchen Island with Ample Seating – Our clients wanted to maximise seating around a central island, creating the perfect space for entertaining guests and everyday family life.

  • Compact Utility Room Design – A discreet utility area was needed to house freestanding laundry appliances, ensuring the main kitchen remained clutter-free.

The Design

Modern Luxury Kitchen Design – Custom Built by Mark Johnson Kitchens

This stunning modern kitchen combines functionality, elegance, and bespoke craftsmanship. A premium kitchen design featuring full-height Mackintosh shaker-style cabinets in a soft neutral tone, offering generous storage space, with the inclusion of a full-height butler’s pantry, and a clean, contemporary aesthetic.

A large central island with light-coloured quartz worksurface provides the perfect space for cooking, entertaining, and family gatherings.

Equipped with high-spec built-in NEFF appliances, including a slide and hide oven and venting hob, this designer kitchen is tailored for modern living. The open-plan layout and kitchen colour choices ensure the space is filled with natural light creating a bright, airy cooking & living environment.

Finished with stylish brass hardware, a high quality silgranite sink and Quooker Flex Pro 3 boiling tap, this luxury kitchen strikes the perfect balance between classic charm and modern innovation.
