Upon discussing the design with Mr and Mrs Maguire some of their key requirements were to include a large island with sociable seating and an efficient venting hob. They were also keen to incorporate a range of tall units to house an array of integrated cooking appliances and refrigeration.
A butlers pantry was also on our client’s wish list, to provide storage for lots of everyday storecupboard ingredients.
It was also very important to Mr and Mrs Maguire to carefully incorporate the original exposed brickwork in their exisiting kitchen into the new design, celebrating the traditional charm and character of the barn while blending it with contemporary elements.

Custom Cabinetry – The choice of a Mackintosh kitchen comes with the luxury of customisation. The cabinets were painted in Limestone and Indigo Blue, providing a timeless and sophisticated look. The addition of glass doors in the wall units not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also allows for additional light to brighten the space.
Full-Height Pantry Unit – This clever addition maximizes storage space while maintaining a clean and uncluttered appearance in the kitchen.
Functional and Stylish Island – The centerpiece of this kitchen is undoubtedly the sizeable island. Not only does it provide seating for casual dining or entertaining guests, but it also houses a venting hob for efficient and stylish cooking and fabulous additional storage options to keep kitchen essentials organised
Luxurious Work Surfaces and Fixtures
The work surface is crafted from Corian Limestone Prima, offering durability and a seamless finish that complements the overall design. Further enhancing the kitchen’s functionality and style, our clients selected:
- A ceramic, double Belfast sink known for its classic elegance and practicality
- A Quooker Classic Fusion tap in chrome, adding a touch of modern sophistication
